Tribute to Our Neighbors (Rose Garden)

Tribute to Out Neighbors by artist Simon Huelsbeck is located in North Philadelphia. Painted on two walls across the street from each other, these murals are meant to symbolize transformation, transcendence, and a commitment to community grace. This is represented in the idyllic natural scenes each murals set forth. The first depicts a garden path leading to a gate through which lies the unknown, suggesting that what lies beyond will be as beautiful as the garden through the rolling hills in the background. The second mural, located across the street, shows a rushing waterfall made peaceful as it slows to flow over rocks at its base.
