Ed Bradley Tribute Mural Community Paint Day
Pick up a paint brush and join us in recreating a beloved mural tribute to Ed Bradley, a West Philadelphia legend most notable for his 26 years as a correspondent on CBS News’ 60 Minutes. After the original mural was obscured, artist Ernel Martinez collaborated with the Ed Bradley Family Foundation to bring the mural back into view on a new wall.
Bradley, who passed away in 2006, was the first Black television correspondent to cover the White House, and was the recipient of dozens of prestigious journalism awards, including Emmys, Duponts, Peabodys, and both the George Polk and Paul White awards. He was injured in Cambodia as a war correspondent, and anchored his own broadcast, CBS Sunday Night News with Ed Bradley.
