Rescheduled: Philly Soul Mural Dedication

Join us to dedicate a new mural at Cione Playground in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond neighborhood, created in partnership with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. Commissioner Susan Slawson and Councilmember Mark Squilla will join community members for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and speaking program.

Brooklyn-based artist Chris Stain created Philly Soul through conversations and collaboration with local residents, even featuring some of the playground’s frequent visitors in the mural. The final design reflects Stain’s discovery that a community is the city’s true wealth.
