The Team

The Team by artist Michael Webb is located at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in the Holmesburg neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural is about the different units which make up the Philadelphia Department of Prisons. In the upper section of the mural backgrounded by solid blocks of color are the logos of the 13 different departmental units which support daily function of the Philadelphia prison system. Beneath the logos are scenes from the work lives of department staff. These scenes depict taking care of patients medical needs, teaching inmates in classrooms, and leading nondenominational prayer services for inmates.
